I think its time for a car wash. Too bad it's currently 3 degrees outside...

I hate road salt.

So glad I live in a place where we use gravel.

That feeling. I know it.

Dat license plate.

Pretty much as bad. Lots of chips in your paint to make way for rust.

I'm in Richmond and I feel your pain.

Did you photoshop this? This line just looks odd with the shadowing.

We were lucky in Kentucky (limerick not intended) yesterday. Daytime highs finally managed to reach the upper 40s. It was still too cold, though, to prevent me from committing the cardinal sin of using the automatic car wash, and my Charger only managed to stay clean for about 30 minutes before gunk and road salt started building up on the lower half of the rear bumper and the rocker panels.
Oh well. At least I can't literally hear my car rusting outside my back door now.
It's back to single digit temps here, by the way. This crap probably won't let up until March at this rate.

ACTUALLY I have mud flaps on my car so it's all good. Even on my other car though that doesn't have mud flaps, its never really been that much of a problem. They don't lay down that much gravel tbh.

I have them too, but they don't stop gravel from other cars that don't have them.

OMG I JUST NOTICED YOUR LICENSE PLATE. FUCKING AWESOME!!!!

Which line? I didn't Photoshop anything. I took this picture with my Note, though. Was kinda surprised at how it came out looking very HDR-ish (especially when it isn't compressed and resized.)
EDIT: If you are referring to the line running around the side of the bumper, it is a stock crease in the design.

Ohh, you mean like on the hood of your car. Honestly chips are going to happen there no matter what you do. I thought you meant like on the your own body behind the wheel wells.

It does look very HDR-ish....

I live in Virginia as well.. they put some odd chemical all over the roads which turned everything into black ice. Then once they realized everyone here will die from .1 inch of snow they went and drowned the state with salt. I got my daily sodium intake just by breathing near a road. Since it's supposed to snow again tomorrow I gotta go through this mess all over again. ugh

Yeah, the Lincoln in my reply is at the UK stadium lot last week. Ended up behind a salt truck commuting at one point... Was not a happy man.

Thought I heard that in some areas, salt supplies were getting low. I'm like "THANK GOD"! They might have to ration and actually make a conscious decision about salting rather than just dumping when there's a call for dry flurries.

I dunno what it is about "dry flurries" that sounds so hilarious...

That's nothing! Quebec's throwing salt at us while driving on the highway.

I agree. They spray that "salt brine" down on the roads before storms (the white lines down the road) but as far as I can tell, all that does is ensure that the snow initially melts before re-freezing into ice, thereby making the roads that much worse!
